Job Description
After a phenomenal crowdfunding campaign for the Book of Spirits, we are looking for experienced illustrators to bring the spirit realm to life. The visual style is akin to what you'd find in D&D books or MtG cards. The Kickstarter link above contains examples.
There are 100+ artworks required for this book, and many more projects on the horizon. If we accept you into the role, we'll sign a contract, discuss your schedule and send detailed art descriptions with clear deadlines.
We want people who can:
Get acquainted with the project's visual language, along with some of its lore
Create high-quality artwork while following our vision, description, and direction
Deliver their artwork on time
Compensation
We'd hate to waste your time, so here is our budget for each type of illustration. Your portfolio, availability, and past experiences will determine where you land in this range:
Half-Page illustration (Scene/Environment): $300 - $450
Creature/Character Art: $120 - $220
Spot/Object Art: $50 - $90
Skills & Requirements
Experience creating fantasy artwork, with a portfolio showcasing similar styles.
Powerful imagination and passion for visual storytelling.
Creative vision to take a concept to completion from a detailed brief or another concept image.
Ability to segment your work into stages and accept direction after every part.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with D&D or other tabletop RPGs
Deep love for fantasy fiction, video games, and digital media
